Frequently Asked Questions

What is the St. Louis World’s Fare Heritage Festival?
The St. Louis World’s Fare Heritage Festival is an annual event whose mission is to bring together people of the region, showcasing the finest elements of art, music, business, and food while we rediscover the rich heritage of St. Louis. This special event is also designed to help bridge St. Louis County with St. Louis City uniting the region into one community while benefiting local schools and charitable organizations. Forest Park will be the centerpiece of this celebration featuring events and competitions that embrace the history of the 1904 St. Louis World’s Fair, highlight the culture of St. Louis today, and look to the future as stronger more unified community. From favorite St. Louis eateries, family activities, and live musical performances to historical exhibitions, live art displays, and a business expo supporting small business, the World's Fare will be an event with something for all to enjoy!

When and where is the festival?
The Fare is Friday, August 19th 4pm to 10pm and Saturday and Sunday, August 20th and 21st, from 10am to 10 pm at the World's Fair Pavillion at Forest Park. World's Fair Pavillion is located just East of the St. Louis Zoo with the event running from Government Drive up to the Pavillon.

How much does it cost to attend the Fare?
The St. Louis World’s Fare is FREE. The only costs are for food, beverage, and merchandise purchases on festival grounds. In order to keep this festival free and open to the public, outside food and beverages are prohibited.

Where do I park?
Fare-goers are encouraged to take public transportation or carpool if possible! There are several Metro stops surrounding the park and you can always catch the Trolley that runs through Forest Park with stops right by the entrance of the event. General parking is available throughout Forest Park with handicap accessible spots located on Government Dr. as well as by the Pavillion on Concourse Dr.

Does the Festival conduct bag checks?
To provide a safer environment for the general public festival organizers may implement bag checks at entrances to enforce a ban on firearms, drugs, and outside beverages. Festival organizers strongly encourage attendees not to bring these items to the event in order to access all areas of the Fare.

What happens if Fare-goers show up at the gate with a prohibited item?
The attendee will have the option of discarding or surrendering the prohibited item or the attendee can secure the item at a location of their choosing (car, hotel room, etc.). Surrendered items cannot be returned and will be forfeited.
