Along with the well known sports of baseball and football some Americans also enjoyed the venerable old English game of cricket! Still played in many areas of the country in 1904, including St. Louis, the game had been played since at least the nid 18oo's . Plans had even been in place to include the cricket in the 1904 St. Louis Olympics.
- Visitors to this years St. Louis World's Fare will have an opportunity to personally relive this long forgotten sporting legacy by joining in on short, informal, turn-of-the-century cricket games that American cricket player and historian Tom Melville will be conducting on Saturday the 20th from 11 to 5 and Sunday the 21st from 10 to 3.
- The games will be run on a continuous walkup basis and are open to all. Absolutely no experience required!
