Paint Louis | Graffiti Wall

The St. Louis World’s Fare Festival has been featuring the Paint Louis Graffiti Wall since year one and gives local artists opportunities to be featured live at the festival. Having graffiti artists at the festival gives festival goers an opportunity to learn about the art form. This is sponsored by Paint Louis which takes place at the Mural Mile, a 52 ft. tall flood wall along the Mississippi River. The Mural Mile is located along the Riverfront between Victor and Chouteau Avenues, south of the Gateway Arch. Started in 1997, the project became an annual event held every Labor day weekend. Organized by the organization Paint Louis, more than 250 graffiti artists from around the country came to St. Louis to add to this mural on the Mississippi River floodwall.
